After approximately 28 hours since leaving home we managed to get into open air in Melbourne. Customs was a breeze and our eight checked bags, four carry-on bags, the four of us and Puppy squeezed into a taxi van and headed for our new home away from home. It was about an hour’s drive from the airport and Jarrod nearly didn’t make it but we’re here at last. It’s a nice place and will suit us well. We got all the bags unpacked and spent a little time relaxing. My body tells me it’s after midnight as I write this but the clock says it’s 4pm. We’ll fix some dinner and make it an early night. It might take a couple days of settling in before we adventure too far though. First on the agenda will be to find a grocery store for some grub and an electronics store for a GPS. Ryan’s doing good but Kyle’s fading fast. Jarrod seems to be on his second wind. We’ll get some updates in a couple days.Monday, June 14, 2010
