After lunch in Kawakawa we headed back toward our hotel. We detoured through Whangarei for fuel and a stop at the A.H. Reed Kauri Park. There we saw another waterfall, plus many giant Kauri trees. Again the thick tree canopy sheltered us from yet another rainstorm. New Zealand is a beautiful country but very wet this time of year.
