We're finishing up our third week in Melbourne. We are really enjoying the opportunity, and happy to be here seeing all the new things and meeting new people. I didn't post any updates for the last part of the week but it was fairly quiet. Jarrod and the boys went bowling a couple times and spent a few hours at the park between rainy days. And at lunch yesterday I went to the American Food Store. As much as Ryan would have liked it I couldn't justify spending $14 on a small box of Lucky Charms. He can just wait about 7 more weeks :-) It really highlights though how different the food is here, especially when it comes to highly processed items. We have a lot more variety and conveniences in the States. However in many other regards Melbourne is just another big city. There are stores galore but I guess that's no surprise given a population of 4 million people. Below is a portion of the downtown skyline.
