Mornington Peninsula

Today we braved the cold and windy weather and drove south along the Mornington Peninsula.  This gave the boys their first sight of true ocean.

We spent a while at London Bridge Beach exploring tidal pools, caves and sandy beaches covered with shells.

But when a big storm started rolling in it was time to leave.  It rained on us before we made it to the car but we were bundled up so it didn't matter.  A park ranger at the Point Nepean visitor center told us a gale force storm was blowing in so they were starting to close down picnic areas.  Good thing we'll be cozy in our house tonight.

  1. What did the boys think of the ocean? Does Kyle still want to live by the ocean? Great pictures!
